Investment in the Galilee will create an Israeli Silicon Valley, attracting the brightest Israeli and global researchers and personnel and the Negev will attract professionals to its Cyber Development Zones. Innovative housing solutions will help the expansion of existing residential areas in addition to the creation of new ones. Investment in the next generation will involve the development of quality K-12 education and institutions of higher learning. The plan will ensure that in only two decades the Negev and the Galilee will be thriving centers of growth.
The main tool for strengthening the Galilee and the Negev and motivating 1.5 million residents to make their homes in the periphery will be the development of innovative high-tech and cyber industries, which will mobilize the participation of additional partners, such as Israel's Ministries of Economy and Industry, Finance, and Transportation. Indeed, to the extent that KKL-JNF succeeds in bringing the plan to the fore of public awareness, the more likely it will gain support from government and private bodies to advance the vision of KKL-JNF 2040 and ensure its success.
KKL-JNF's role in promoting the plan involves land acquisition and its preparation for various infrastructures in the periphery, the establishment of industrial zones, supporting innovative, informal learning initiatives and higher education campuses, supporting students, continuing to establish KKL-JNF Houses for Excellence in the periphery and strengthening the bond with Diaspora Jewry.
