KKL-JNF Stands in Solidarity with the People of the
Gaza Envelope and the Western Negev
 
KKL-JNF, with the support of friends of KKL-JNF worldwide, plays a vital role in developing and strengthening the western Negev communities and residents, especially during times of hardships, conflict, and war.

May 2023 Update:

Operation "Shield and Arrow" began in the early hours of May 9th, following repeated rocket attacks on the south. With hundreds of rockets fired at Israel, residents living 10-20 KM from the Gaza Strip are under constant fire and must stay in shelters; communities and cities up to 80 KM are under emergency restrictions and have also experienced attacks. KKL-JNF's foresters and firefighters are on high alert to contend with an event of forest fires caused by rockets and missiles.   

 

 

 KKL-JNF is committed to ensuring safety and quality of life for the people who live near the Gaza border by providing bomb shelters, security planting, community parks, high-tech and community centers, boosting sport and tourism industries, and initiating educational and ecological events that help strengthen the local economy.

Thanks to KKL-JNF friends worldwide, in the past year KKL-JNF was able to place over 100 new bomb shelters, plant dozens of life-saving trees and support the Sderot Resilience Center, a unique therapeutic institution that care for people, particularly children, who struggle with life under fire.
