As part of the system of trails in the Kramim Forest, KKL-JNF has developed a 12 km long cycling trail, which connects the Lahav Forest (Rimon Single Track) to the Meitar Forest (Meitar Loop Single Track). The trail provides access to the Lahav Forest for the residents of Meitar, Carmit and Sansana and it is also part of the Israel National Biking Trail that traverses Israel from north to south. Cyclists enjoy the forest landscape while exercising in the wide outdoors.

KKL-JNF Created an Accessible Single-Track at Givat Hatzir

KKL-JNF created a one-of-a-kind single-track, the first in Israel suitable for tandem and hand bicycles used by people whose movement is limited, visually impaired or on the spectrum. The trail traverses Galilean oak forest groves and colorful flowers regions, and will serve local residents, especially the Bedouin population who live in nearby communities. The trail is a social justice project that provides sports activities and accessibility to a nature site for all of Israel's various populaces. The goal of the bicycle trail is to expose bicycling in nature to people with special needs and to give them the experience of bicycling in a natural forest. The trail is constructed from tightly-packed earth that provides a total sensation of outdoors bicycling. Explanatory signage and accessible sitting corners will be installed next to each entrance to the trail.

The Naftali Mountains Forest Single-Track Bike Trail

KKL-JNF has built on the Naftali Range Forest, which overlooks the city of Kiryat Shemona, a challenging, impressive and fun single-track bike trail. This circular cycling route runs along the steep slopes of the Naftali Mountains and the Menara Cliff, that provide cyclists with spectacular views of the Hula Valley and the Golan Heights as they ride. The route attracts cyclists from near and far, who come to enjoy athletic activity outdoors in the special region of the Galilee Panhandle.

Nahal Zippori Forests - Timrat Single-Track Bike Trail

The Timrat Bicycle Path is part of a large network of cycling routes that KKL-JNF constructed in the Nahal Zippori Forests. Although it is only 12 kilometers long out of a total length of approximately 110 kilometers, it is considered unique due to the story of its creation. This cycling route came to be out of a desire to integrate youth-at-risk and enable them to build something themselves that would benefit society and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. Youth from the "Merhavim Neve Amiel Youth Village" in Sde Ya’akov took satisfaction and pride in building this cycling route, which attracts many professional cyclists who come to enjoy the ride and the breathtaking views of the Jezreel Valley.

As part of a master plan for the development of the Meitar Forest and to serve the needs of hundreds of cyclists, KKL-JNF is building a 17 km single-track bike trail around Meitar. The single-track includes many off-shoot trails, enabling residents immediate access to their neighborhoods. It also connects to two regional cycling trails and passes close to the Israel National Bicycle Trail. The new trail will provide an attractive, fun and varied ride in the KKL-JNF southern region forests.

Arad-Masada - The Israel Bike Trail

The Arad Municipality envisions the city as a national cycling center in the fields of tourism, education, community and infrastructure. As part of the process of developing bicycle paths throughout the town and its surroundings there are plans to develop a bicycle trail that will be a major section of the Israel Bike Trail (a national trail planned to cross the country from north to south, from Mt. Hermon to Eilat). The proposed trail will be about 25 kilometers long and connect Arad to the World Heritage site of Masada. The trail will provide a desert cycling experience that will combine nature, scenery, history and archaeology.

Megiddo - Bicycle Trails Connecting to the "Square Trail"

KKL-JNF, in cooperation with The Megiddo Regional Council, is planning three new bicycle trails in the Ramat Menashe (Megiddo) Biosphere Reserve for the benefit its residents and cyclists from all over Israel who come to enjoy the unique nature and scenery of the area. The trails will connect the communities of Eliyakim, En HaEmek, Ramat Menashe and Dalia to the “Square Trail” – a circular 5-kilometer bicycle trail leading to the regional council compound, Yad LaBanim and the Megiddo Regional Secondary School. The trails will be adapted to the topography and will be lit by solar powered lights in the dark, thus providing a major solution to the issue of moving between the various communities and public institutions.

Nahal Zippori Forest - The Hoshaya Single Bicycle Path

KKL-JNF has developed a large network of cycling routes, spreading out over approximately 110 kilometers, in the Nahal Zippori Forest in the central Galilee, along the Zippori Stream. The easternmost cycling route is the Hoshaya Cycling Route, which circles around the residential community of Hoshaya, from which it takes its name, and whose residents were partners in building it. The route gives cyclists an enjoyable ride through the trees, colorful blossoms in season, and permanent greenery of the forest. It also connects with the longer Resh Lakish cycling route, and from there to the many cycling routes of the Nahal Zippori Forests.

Lod - King Solomon Avenue - Bicycle Path

The purpose of the path is to improve mobility around the city, to encourage cycling and to facilitate movement between the neighborhoods, the train station and other major institutions and centers. The bicycle path will allow convenient and safe movement between neighborhoods and provide an alternative to private vehicles in the city.

Ramat Gan – Central Bicycle Path for Recreational and Daily Use

Amidst the tumult of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area, one of the areas with the densest population and heaviest traffic in Israel, KKL-JNF, in cooperation with the Ramat Gan Municipality, is planning to develop a 1-kilometer central bicycle path that will link the Aluf Sadeh route to the Ramat Gan National Park. The path will encourage walking and cycling as an alternative to cars, thus easing the traffic load on the roads and mitigating air pollution. Along the route there will be a combination of existing and newly planted trees and a variety of other plants. The route will be suited for daily use, recreation and fitness.
