Biodiversity

KKL-JNF plants new forests and is also responsible for managing large areas of natural woodland and restoring old orchards. Our forests and woodlands help combat desertification and improve the carbon balance in the environment. Restored terraces prevent erosion and support a rich variety of fruit-laden trees in season. Wildflowers bloom in riotous color among the healthy native trees and shrubs, part of KKL-JNF's forestry development work. Biosphere parks, the ultimate integration of humans and their environment, are becoming a KKL-JNF trademark. KKL-JNF is on guard 24 hours a day, preventing wildfires in forests and woodlands. Our efficient firefighting system includes fire watchtowers in strategic points, the latest firefighting equipment, and dedicated staff.
