There is no better way to show KKL-JNF's impact on the land of Israel than through these photographs. They are the most articulate expressions of KKL-JNF's stewardship and development activities throughout the years, befitting the country and all its people.

Bicycle trails

2014. KKL-JNF created hundreds of kilometers of bicycle trails, crisscrossing Israel's forests and open spaces, providing environmentally friendly and healthy recreation while deepening knowledge of the land. (Ancho Gosh, Jinipix)

Traditional hillside farming

1986. KKL-JNF chose Sataf, a village in the Jerusalem hills, as the site for restoring traditional hillside agriculture, which was practiced in the region for thousands of years. (Joe Malcolm)

2007. Visitors to Sataf can now learn how the area was originally cultivated, thanks to the restoration of the agricultural terraces and the channels that carry water from the site's springs. Sataf is also home to a special orchard where rare native strains of figs and olives are grown. (Gidi Bashan)

A gem on the Red Sea

1955. Eilat. A KKL-JNF bulldozer is clearing the desert land where Israel’s southernmost city was established. (Efram Ilani)

2006. The local landfill is now a fascinating bird park. Experts estimate that some 500 million birds migrate over Eilat every spring and autumn. (Yaakov Shkolnik)

2013. Vineyards of Mitspe Ramon. KKL-JNF developed the infrastructure for establishing vineyards near Mitspe Ramon. The climate of Mitspe Ramon is very well suited for growing grapes to produce high-quality wines. (Einat Bahat)
