Traditional hillside farming
1986. KKL-JNF chose Sataf, a village in the Jerusalem hills, as the site for restoring traditional hillside agriculture, which was practiced in the region for thousands of years. (Joe Malcolm)

2007. Visitors to Sataf can now learn how the area was originally cultivated, thanks to the restoration of the agricultural terraces and the channels that carry water from the site's springs.
