KKL-JNF For the Community

There is no better way to show KKL-JNF's impact on the land of Israel than through these photographs. They are the most articulate expressions of KKL-JNF's stewardship and development activities throughout the years, befitting the country and all its people.

Rothschild Boulevard

1910. Rothschild Boulevard in the early days of Tel Aviv. The first Hebrew kiosk. With the help of a loan from KKL-JNF the early settlers of Tel Aviv were able to purchase the lands on which the boulevard was established. Photographer: Zeev Radovan

2006. KKL-JNF helped the Tel Aviv Municipality restore Rothschild Boulevard for the celebrations in honor of Tel Aviv’s centennial. When the work was completed artists were recruited to design “blue boxes” that were exhibited along the boulevard. Photographer: Avi Haiun

A park for the people of the valley

1964. Migdal HaEmek in its early days. The community was hastily established in 1952, with no economic infrastructure. In the 1980s a number of high-tech ventures were initiated, significantly strengthening the city's economy. Photographer: Yehuda Hanegbi

2013. KKL-JNF is committed to improving the quality of life for the people in the periphery. Rabin Park, which KKL-JNF created in Migdal HaEmek, has become the city's most important picnic and recreation site, providing residents with a conveniently located and pleasant venue in nature. A city and a lake in the desert

1988. In the early 1950s a dam was built in Nahal Revivim to store water for agriculture. The concept was never finalized, and in 1988 KKL-JNF transformed the reservoir and its surroundings into a park. (Israel Sinai)

2012. KKL-JNF carried out extensive restoration work in Yeroham Park, which has become the pride of the town and a popular site for outdoor activities enjoyed by local residents and visitors from throughout Israel. (Avi Hirschfield)

Halutzim (pioneers) in Halutza

1947. Halutza on the day of its establishment. The first attempt at creating a settlement in the Halutza Sands was unsuccessful. (Avraham Malavsky)

2015. Naveh, a new community in the sand dunes of Halutza was establish by Gush Katif evacuees, with the help of KKL-JNF. (Anonymous)

Sderot: A city that's home

1990. KKL-JNF has been accompanying Sderot since its establishment. KKL-JNF laid the infrastructure for housing intended for new immigrants from countries of the former Soviet Union. (Israel Sinai)
