KKL-JNF and the 2030 UN Agenda
for Sustainable Development
Agenda 2030, comprising
17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), was created in the largest participatory consultation process ever undertaken by the UN and ratified unanimously by 193 member states, including Israel.
The broad-based and interdependent goals of the UN initiative are integral to the work of KKL-JNF. Even before the UN determined its platform for sustainable development, KKL-JNF led the country in natural resource management projects that included preserving forests and opening spaces and KKL-JNF continues to address environmental issues through its work.
Most of the 17 SGDs are reflected in the projects and programs of KKL-JNF, of which a representative number are listed herein. By clicking on each SDG icon you will discover KKL-JNF's activities in the relevant topic.
